VA-SEPS Training

Space and Equipment Planning System (SEPS) Training is provided in two virtual instructor led sessions. Contact Orest Burdiak for registration information.  

SEPS On-line (SOT) – 101 Training:

  • 2 ½ hour On-line session
  • Covers the basic functionality, functions and commands, that are used to develop a Program for Design (PFD) and Project Room Contents (PRC)
  • This session covers these elements:
    • Introduction to the VA Standards that provide the data used by SEPS and how this data is developed.
    • Review of the Functions and Commands that are used in the development of a baseline project PFD and baseline PRC.
    • Project Builder: the Project Builder module is the primary module in SEPS that users will work in to develop the PFD and PRC for their project at their facility.
  • This session provides the basis for SEPS On-line – 102 Training and should be taken first in the training sequence.
 

SEPS On-line (SOT) – 102 Training:

  • 2 ½ hour On-line session
  • Addresses the customization features of SEPS and those functions and commands that can be used to modify a baseline SEPS PFD / PRC to meet the needs of a specific project.
  • This session covers these elements:
    • Review of the VA Standards that provide the data used by SEPS and how this data is developed.
    • Project Builder: this Training uses the Project Builder module and the Functions and Commands available in SEPS to customize a baseline project PFD and baseline PRC: by adding/deleting non-standard rooms and equipment items, duplicating project rooms / contents, and other customizing functions.
